RADIO ENGINEERING, RADIO COMMUNICATION AND TELE- AND RADIO BROADCASTING FACULTY

The Faculty was organized in 1956. The faculty provides training for bachelors and masters in the following specialty: 522300 – RADIO COMMUNICATION BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION. Broad specialists from this faculty are prepared to maintain and to serve all types of equipment of transmitting, receiving and television centres, sound-recording studios, radio broadcasting systems, microwave, mobile and satellite systems, also all types of antennas for all type of communication.

Since 1999 Master degree course in 4 specialities was opened in the faculty:

Ì522300 – Radio communication, broadcasting and television;
Ì522310 – Satellite and cellular communication system;
Ì522311 – Maintenance of radio and TV equipment;

The faculty consists of 7 chairs:

  • Microwave and satellite communication,
  • Radio broadcasting and television,
  • Theory of signal’s transmission,
  • Antenna and feeder equipment,
  • Equipment of radio communication,
  • Power supply for telecommunication equipment,
  • Theory and practice of construction of democratic society of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

4 Doctors of Science and professors, 16 candidates of science and assistant professors, among them one academic of the Academy of Sciences of the republic of Uzbekistan and one academic of the Moscow Academy of Sciences, are working in the faculty.

Dean of the Faculty is candidate of science and assistant professors, master of communications and honorary honourable radio operator Ibraimov Refat Rafikovich.

The RADIO ENGINEERING, RADIO COMMUNICATION AND TELE- AND RADIO BROADCASTING FACULTY of Tashkent University for Information Technologies admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin with all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students. This includes the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and school-administered programs.
